Last SCATE Night
The sights and sounds of the last SCATE night left Wofford students yearning for more. We opened with David Moore on Guitar, playing various covers. Following, Jonny Martin, aka The Franchize KiD, performed two songs from his mixtape. Benae Ritter, Ricky Jones, and Chris Pettit performed an original number, written and composed by themselves. Greyson Mann rendered a classical piece on the keys....
An Overlooked Advantage
Stillness is a funny thing
Considering the world is of constant spin
And movement is of commonplace
To our species known as the human race
And even in trying it’s an impossible feat
For our hearts strike on at a constant beat
Our heads filter thoughts at an incredible rate
Our souls beckon feelings of love and hate
Nature and structures are better than us
At keeping still and...

From oil paintings, to simple sketching, to amateur photography, this Cross Country record holder does it all. If you who...

Not Just Another KiD
This week I had the honor of sitting down and talking with one of Wofford’s freshman football players, Jonny Martin. The running back from San Diego, California is also a rap-per. So when he’s not avoiding tackles on the field, he is in the studio trying to make a few hits. He dropped his first official mix-tape, entitled “Music Is My Drug,” just this past summer on DatPiff.com. He recorded...
Meet the SCATErs
SCATE was started by three Wofford students; Cameron Kimber, Lamar Hunter, and Tyrell Jemison, with the help of a few Wofford staff members. The idea was initially in-spired by Tramaine Brown, who currently serves as a Wof-ford Fellow working with Student Affairs. His main focus is Multicultural Affairs. Contrary to popular belief, Multicul-tural Affairs is not just for the black or minority...
Theory by Tyrell Jemison
Has our passion been stolen?
Or did we give it away?
Did it become ambitious
and yearn for someone greater?
We are today’s Youth
that experienced yesterday,
that can influence tomorrow.
Yet, we aspire for mediocrity,
because we became complacent
in forefather’s achieved objective.
But dare we dream?
Dare we have a desire
to pursue the unachievable?
Our courage shall
